WASHINGTON, D.C. – In case you missed it, Chairman Rick Scott joined a roundtable at the White House alongside senior Trump administration officials and industry leaders to highlight the importance of strengthening U.S. drug manufacturing, supporting American jobs, and keeping our families safe.
During the roundtable, Chairman Scott emphasized the urgent need to end America’s dangerous overreliance on foreign drug manufacturers in India and Communist China to ensure the medicines American patients take every day are safe and readily available, while also prioritizing the creation of American jobs.
Chairman Scott also shared the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging’s work to increase transparency and accountability across America’s drug and medical supply chain, including his bipartisan investigative report and CLEAR LABELS Act, which would require country-of-origin labeling for prescription medicines and their ingredients, ensuring Americans know exactly where the drugs in their medicine cabinets are produced.
