The U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging will hold a hearing on Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 2:00 pm ET, to examine the long-term care insurance industry. The high cost of long-term care and the current economic instability are creating significant financial planning challenges for baby-boomers, seniors, and individual states. The committee will examine the industry's current limitations and how to prepare for the estimated 12 million seniors by 2020 that will be in need of long-term care.
